I’m Alex, a writer based in the north of England.

I craft deeply researched, narrative-driven stories across culture, tech and business.

I began my career over a decade ago, reporting from major criminal court cases for a news agency. I then worked for the then-largest UK men’s magazine, travelling the world for stories, writing longer-form features and interviewing A-list talent.

Since freelancing, I have written for the likes of WIRED, the BBC and more. My work has been cited in bestselling titles, academic papers and global media.

I pride myself on telling agenda-free stories through expert voices and tight, clean copy that breaks down the complex into the straightforward, helping to inform a reader’s view of the world.
